Kejriwal urf Panda bear

For anyone who knows how the real world works, every one of Team Arvind Kejriwal's ideas scream "Impractical".
-
Yes sir, we know that almost everyone currently in any position of power is corrupt. Sadly, we also know that we can't get rid of them all at once. The wise people of India prefer the slow survivalist mentality over the revolutionary one.
-
Or so we thought. The 2014 Delhi assembly elections showed that the people of India wanted to press the reset button. However, it took only 49 days for Arvind Kejriwal to realize the vast gulf between protest politics and power politics.
-
Idealism met practicality and was given a resounding thrashing.
-
Astonishingly, going by the exit polls for the 2015 re-election, Team Arvind Kejriwal is back in business. Even if it doesn't come to power, the Aam Aadmi Party will once again be a strong presence in the Delhi legislative assembly.
-
Who are these impractical people who keep believing in this impractical man?
-
The answer may lie with the giant panda. Yes, that bamboo eating, black and white bundle of cuteness hiding away in a handful of remote forests of China.
-
The World Wildlife Fund's panda bear logo has worked wonders for it. It made people care. About wildlife conservation, about everyone's duty towards it, about what we were about to lose. A wonderful denizen of the world, they simply would not let it down. The guilt of losing it would be just too much to handle.

Arvind Kejriwal and his ideas walk the same zone of real, important and rare. Getting into politics wasn't a move supported by all of India Against Corruption's supporters. Yet, just as corruption is at the core of each and every problem plaguing India, politics is at the core of each and every solution. No politics, no progress.
-
He made mistakes along the way as any human being is wont to. A few AAP colleagues dropped out, supporters felt disillusioned and he publicly apologized for his dramatic resignation from the office of Delhi CM. Despite all of this, the voters, it seems, are ready to give him the benefit of the doubt.
-
What he keeps repeating ad nauseum is nothing but the truth. Corruption is unacceptable. Doesn't matter, shouldn't matter whether you are a multi-billionaire Ambani or a traffic signal cop. It's true that not everyone will get caught, but those who are cannot be forgiven by the public with a "Yeh toh hotaa hi hai" [This is a part of life] inevitability.
-
In some ways, a perfect world where not a single rupee is unaccounted for is a "cute" idea. The "cuteness", as we have seen, has high staying power. This cuteness is an ideal, but this cuteness we must see. This cuteness we will fight for, for this cuteness will set us free.
